At Mama Shan's--we hope to empower you, who view the tutorials and use our products for your photography, art, or designs, with knowledge, inspiration to create, and the ability to apply what you've learned in a tasteful and expedient manner. Mama Shan's Digital Imaging Goodies have been designed to expedite retouching and post-processing time spent on digital images, in Photoshop®. They are also designed to put the control in your hands to finesse and adjust various effects. Actions and their applications are customizable and you can set up batch processing for many of them, with a few tweaks here and there. We are in the business of "showing how" rather than "showing off". We back all our products with 100% free support. We love to receive the type of feedback that assures us that our work and products have opened the door for you in understanding and easing the workflow process in Photoshop. With that kind of support, we, at Mama Shan's will be able to continue bringing you MORE tutorials, Actions, and Presets for Photoshop®.!
MSDIG, the acronym for Mama Shan's Digital Imaging Goodies, LLC, I have been providing training, tutorials, and some of my actions to photographers and students since 1999, as "Photoshopmama" on various forums on the Internet, and in many articles published in magazines and books.
The entity of Mama Shan's Digital Imaging Goodies LLC was formed in January 2007--with my youngest daughter, Nora Canfield who is my primary business partner and provides most of the photographs used in the tutorials. The very first product publicly launched was Mama's Powder and has been hailed as the best and easiest to use skin action on the market, then and today! Many have since tried to replicate it, but it's just not quite like Mama's, the Original (created in 2003!)

"Mama Shan's products have been great over the years, her actions are awesome! I have been a long time fan, she has taken my work to another level with her tutorials. Her work is one of the best kept secrets in photo retouch, Mama's stuff is worth every penny." - by Leroy Lynn.
Leroy has the distinction of being our very first customer. He purchased the very first retail version of Mama's Powder Original on January 13, 2007, so he holds a special place in our heart and our memory!
Inspiration--Besides the awe and inspiration of the miracle of life itself and being happiest when I am in a state of utter gratitude, I was also inspired and encouraged by a few Photoshop Gurus, whose books or seminars were all I needed back in the late 90's. My most fondest thanks go to
Katrin Eismann,
Scott Kelby,
Ben Willmore, and NAPP's Help Desk Director
Pete Bauer.
